Moving to Ohio (well and getting married) has made me appreciate my dad so much! It's the little things I miss the most.
1. Cookies and milk every night before bed
2. Mysteriously driving off in my car... coming back with a full tank of gas
3. Always making sure we had milk for cereal in the morning even if that meant running to the store at 11pm or waking up at seven and driving to the store. (I tried to get chase to go on that late night venture but instead I was left with no milk for my cereal)
4. How I am still reminded of when to pay my bills :) ... I received forwards in the mail. Thank you dad!
5. MIRACLE WHIP (need I say more)
6. His organization skills, the remote was always in the same place without fail, the keys in his jacket pocket or the drawer, watching him file away the mail as soon as he came home for lunch.
7. Seeing a bowl full of cereal soaking in milk on the counter every morning
8. Browning a roast for Sunday dinner before church .. and of course jello
9. (this one is from Chase) KOOL AID, or should I say whatever juice is around the house even if it means we will be drinking something brown.
10. SOFTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
11. The way he can ignore everyone and everything when he is watching tv. I love listening to mom say Charlie 5 times when I'm on the phone with her :)
12. Hello puppies! haha if you haven't heard him talk to brody and that look he gets on his face it is classic. He grits his teeth and looks like he's about to kill him but lightly pats him on the head and says hello puppies. I love it :) and I would secretly watch him every time he went out back
13. Pulling weeds in the garden with him :) he would shovel and I would pick them up and throw them in the pile
14. Watching him run full sprint out the back door and down the deck.. when he forgets to move the hose as he is watering the garden...
15. Playing on the tramp with the grand kids, waiting for birds to fly by
16. Humming
17. When Britney is at the house the occasional howl session that goes on upstairs during his lunch.
18. The toys he buys for himself on his birthday, loud balloons, amongst other weird things.
19. Swim trunks... or should I call it a speedo... hopefully one of the swim trunks that chase gave him will be a little longer than previous ones... so that the white hairy (although still muscular) thighs will stay covered
20. HIS HUGS, and the way he says love you! :) I miss my pats on my back and the way you whisper i love you.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY! I MISS YOU and love you so much! Everything you do is always noticed and appreciated! You really are the best dad :) thanks for showing Chase how to be a real dad! We love you!

I've got a few more - how he always calls all of us adults "children", he takes care of EVERYTHING on family trips, his wild stories, he's always first to take a kid off your hands and His "hugs". He's the best!! :)

I love that we all cried haha but I cry every time I read one of your posts so what's new :) Good tribute to Daddy. He's the best.
